Have two of these lamps. One on my desk at school. One on my desk at home. Bulbs are a pain to change. After six years, one of them has lost it's ability to switch on or off. That's good durability for a relatively cheap light. I am ordering another because I enjoy focused light that can be switched from low to high intensity.

I just received the Halotech II lamp I ordered and I am very disappointed. It is a cheap piece of junk [*]. The screws to adjust the shade came stripped and it is about half as heavy and much smaller and shorter than the same lamp I bought 30 years ago. Some moron put a cheap plastic protective cap on the bottom that is curved so the lamp literally rocks back and forth when I turn it on. What a complete joke. I paid [$] for this garbage that I know cost about $15 to make and I am disgusted.SAVE YOUR MONEY!
