        My fluorescent desk lamp had a short neck and could not begin to cover the crowded area on my desk. Your Sybilla Desk Lamp, with it's long flexible arm and halogen light, allows me to adjust the lamp to the area needed most for close-up work. I'm also able to pivot the lamp, blocking the light from hitting the computer screen. On top of that, the lamp has an intensity control, cutting the brightness best suited for my work. So far I am very pleased with it's performance.

              This gives great desk lighting, however the switch is 12" down the cord from the base rather than on the base or shade where rather than easily accessible the lamp itself.

                Provides good Direct or "spot" illumination (light is not diffuse or scattered; It is concentrated wherever you "point" it). The lamp is compact and easily adjustable in an array of positions. Someone mentioned in their review that it was difficult to replace the bulb. I'm not sure why they found it so difficult BUT if you have any type of dexterity, a little common sense and a screwdriver, it's a cinch! However, I've had mine for 4 years now and have yet to need to change or replace the bulb! In conclusion, I am very happy with this lamp. It provides very good direct light, is easlily adjustable and is very economical to boot!
