The Stix Floor Lamp is an arresting display of visual contrast, both within the frame and beneath it. The dramatic effect of the twisted black metal tower of the frame is heightened by the black stick body. The frame itself is a melange of contrasting materials. The basic outline is composed of black metal. Thin vertical cane rods extend along either side of each corner. Woven to these rods are horizontal cane rods, creating a linear display that amplifies the beauty of the Stix's sculptural form. Oh, yeah: it's also a lamp. A 100-watt bulb (not included) provides strong ambient light that's warmly dispersed by the fabric-like beige paper shade. The foot step on/off switch is a final convenient touch.
