We just renovated our living room to make it more like a family room. It has a more rustic warm look now. I really liked the look of this lantern for it's old time reproduction look. It puts off a warm glow, and I use it on a rustic side table. It's meant more for just adding enough light for that area. I will say I debated for weeks before I caved in an ordered it due to the price. Even with the discount being offered at the time, I do feel it is a bit over priced. I am really pleased with it though.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
