The quality of this lamp is quite good. It is heavy with a soft bottom to avoid scratches. It has a three way illunimation, so it's good to nap and to read with. It comes with a white shade, but ours had a huge stain on it. We have to move it around out of view, while also taking into consideration the fold in the back of the shade.

It goes well with dark wood and bluish hues. All in all, I recommend buying. You just have to hope you don't receive a shade someone spilled something on!

Very modern, clean looking lamp. It is also very heavy and sturdy, you won't bump it off the table. The material is not shiny, it has a brushed chrome look. The shade is large and the light comes through it nicely. It definitely puts out a good amount of light. I also like that the bottom is lined so you won't scratch your tables when you move it around. The cord is long and transparent.

The only thing I can slightly complain about is that the material of the top round cap that you screw in the shade with is not as heavy as the lamp. It is hollow and too light, but it does the job and unless you take it out and play w/ it, you'll never know.

I would buy this again and again!!!
