    I purchased this lamp, along with the matching floor lamp to replace some older lamps that have never been a good fit in our room. These lamps were considerably less expensive than the originals, and they are a much nicer compliment to our decorating scheme. We added 3-way bulbs, which we didn't have before, and the light is good for reading. I noticed after we purchased the bulbs that they can actually accommodate even brighter ones, so we'll probably get those next time. Very versatile design and the shade color casts a warm glow in our room. Love them!

    Service and delivery comments:

    The lamps arrived promptly and in good shape, which was a bit of a miracle. The table lamp arrived with a big hole in the side of the box, and I was certain it would have to be returned. However, once assembled (which took about 2 minutes), the lamp was fine - even the shade.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    This lamp was intended as the primary lighting for my living room. Its 3-way bulb offers a nice variety of ambient lighting. However, the rich red shade limits the brightness of the highest setting so that I need additional lighting in the evening.

    The whimsy of the base and the swirls in the shade are very attractive. The red color is more burgundy when not illuminated.
